Maura D. Garvey is President of Intelligas Consulting LLC, the premier consulting firm dedicated to servicing the needs of the US and international industrial, medical, and specialty gases communities, together with US and international technology companies that design and build production, distribution, and application systems to service the industrial gases business. She continues to support J.R. Campbell & Assoc., Inc. (JRCI), the firm she was with for 25 years, and has been significantly involved in all helium studies.

The firm has performed a significant number of helium studies, analyzing and forecasting US and global supply and demand, supply chain economics, including cost and price, sourcing strategies, and player strategies, as well as those on helium production, distribution, and applications.

Garvey serves on the editorial advisory board of gasworld US Edition and regularly contributes as a feature writer, focusing on industrial gases. Since 1998, Garvey has authored over 100 articles for gasworld US Edition—previously known as Cryogas International—including annual updates on the global helium market.

Prior to Intelligas Consulting LLC and JRCI, Garvey was an independent consultant, providing quantitative and qualitative market research. Before that, she held positions with ARINC Research Corporation and The MITRE Corporation, providing cost and operational effectiveness analyses on engineering systems for government sector clients.

Garvey has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics with a Minor in Economics from Bates College and an MS in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University.
